Camel Halvah Bar, Chocolate, 3-Ounce Bars (Pack of 20) I ordered these bars because I wanted a low-sugar snack bar and read good reviews for a Halvah bar of a different flavor. The texture of the Halvah Marble bar resembles that of packed, moistened sawdust. The bar has a plant fiber taste (the cellulose part of the sesame seeds) with only mild hints of sesame, barley, and chocolate. <br /> <br />I gave it two stars because of high nutritional content and edibility (you can eat it, you just won't enjoy it). I can recommend it as a substitute for the sugary energy bars advertised in bicycling and running magazines. The Halvah bar also would work as a survival food: much nutrition in a small, sealed package. I used to buy them in Canada and now I don't have to drive there, thanks to Amazon.com Good prices also. My favorite is the chocolate coated. |
