Voisin Pates de Fruites Voisin Pates de Fruites is imported from France. Originally a specialty of the Auvergne, pates de fruits are now made throughout the whole South of France. In the Middle Ages, pates de fruit, known as epices de chambre, were very popular, especially the ones made with plums and apricots. The fruits are chosen with enormous care, and cooked with just the right amount of sugar so that the flavor of the fruit is enhanced, not hidden. This package contains four orchard-fresh flavors: plum, blackcurrant, apricot and raspberry. Net Weight: 7 oz. Reader Reviews In Paris we loved pates de fruits from Hediard at Place de Madeleine. We thought these might be as good, or at least approximate the ones from Hediard, but they were disappointing. The fact they were made in France was a factor in our decision to try them, but apparently it did not help. Try the ones from Hediard if you can get them. They are incredibly good, bursting with authentic flavor. |
