Ace of Diamonds Mackerel Fillets in Sunflower Oil, 24 Pack of 4.4 Oz Cans Reader Reviews This mackerel is excellent if on the back it says "Product of Denmark". It is moist, flakey, tender, not too fishy, with great "mouth feel. It is slightly salty, and the flavor of the oil is very nice. (However, if it says "Product of Morocco", it is unlike the Danish product. It will be much dryer, much less flakey, and I find the taste much less pleasing and slightly bitter. I would give the Moroccan product a 1 star rating.) I don't know why they change the source at times. It may be seasonal. |
