Reader Reviews My husband baked this today for my birthday; initially he was put off by the price, but the flour mix we had on order didn't come, so he baked this. The texture and taste were superb, and a little piece is extremely filling. The taste will tempt you to eat way too much, but even if you can, don't do it! I have had a lot of good foods since going gluten free, but Authentic Foods is one of the best for cakes and flour blends. My husband doesn't have to do gluten free, but he has willingly eaten some spectacular failures while helping me to find the best. Look no further than this company; this cake is so fantastic, that nobody would guess that it's gluten free. for years I thought I had wheat allergies, and I ate a lot of spelt and barley which made fairly heavy blocks of baked goods. This does not, it makes a wonderful product. Imagine my surprise when my mister said to buy this cake again, and keep it on hand in the pantry. That is the best recommendation that I know of; the price is not high when you consider what you get. I intend to try the other two flavors, but this will remain my favorite. White cake with white frosting was always my favorite cake, and now I can actually eat it again. What bliss. |
