The Gluten-Free Pantry Country French Bread Mix, 22-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6) I had to go 10 years without bread because of celiac and finally discovered this mix - the taste is fabulous and toasted it is just like an English muffin. I think that the texture is perfect and with a bread machine it is so easy to make. It has much more body than ordinary bread and makes great sandwiches. Try it!! It's a great product. Reader Reviews I looked forward to trying this for pizza crust, as it advertises. First of all, the directions for preparation use WAY too much liquid. Even by cutting the liquid down, I could never get my dough to look like anything other than paste. I'd end up adding a bunch of gluten-free flours to get it to doughy consistency for pizza (or so it, at least, wouldn't stick to my fingers and not the pan.) It had NO flavor either. Disgusting pizza crust. And so I tried it for bread and I couldn't even get my kids to eat it when I disguised it with garlic and cheese and butter. (Kind of defeats the purpose of eating healthy, doesn't it?) I would never buy this product again. |
