Slim Jim Beef Jerky, Original, 1.8-Ounce Packages in 6-Count Boxes (Pack of 2) does anyone know what you're getting in this box quantity pkgs etc normally you get 24 for about $4.00 Reader Reviews I think I had to click at least one star for a rating, but I'd give this stuff Zero if that was possible. Seriously. I'm almost 50 and my favorite treats have always been Beef Jerky. Amazon sent me an offer that I couldn't refuse - "buy so much worth of Slim Jim products" and I would not only get an instant rebate but free shipping. So I did it! At my age, Slim Jims are fairly tasty as an every-once-in-a-while treat and go well with beer and cola. They're a bit fatty so I don't indulge on a daily basis... That being said, I had to meet the minimum requirements to receive the aforementioned incentives, and I didn't want 50 or 60 bucks worth of Slim Jims. So I added their Beef Jerky to the order because I LOVE beef jerky and it's hard to screw it up. This CRUD (and I'd use much more derogatory terms if allowed!) tastes HORRIBLE. PERIOD. I've offered it to buddies and they spit it out. LITERALLY. It is terrible - a waste of money. The other half of my order were Slim Jims - I'm happy with them. I am NOT anti Slim-Jim Co. - ConAgra Foods. The Slim Jims are exactly what I expected! I had never had their Jerky, thought it'd be at least decent, and was amazed that the stuff could be this BAD. I often make my own jerky, and if I set out to make the worst tasting stuff in the world, I couldn't beat this junk. Sorry for the bad review. |
