Better than Bouillion - Chicken 6 count Consumer demand for reduced salt products led Superior Quality Foods to make its meat bases available as an alternative to salty bouillion cubes or canned broth. Reader Reviews I found out about these "paste" bouillions when I bought Tone's "Chicken Base" for soup. I ran out of Tone's before I bought this so I can't do a side-by-side comparison, but they are close in flavor, and both are much more savory than dry products. Both require refrigeration after opening also. Neither Tone's nor this product are low in sodium. One teaspoon of Better than Bouillon gives you 30% of your day's sodium (690 mg). Tone's is just a bit more. I would buy either, based on price and shipping costs. The sellers of Tone's charge way to much for shipping so I bought this. 6 jars, though, will last me a year. |
